We proudly serve over 45,000 students across almost 100 elementary and secondary schools and sites in Niagara, located between Lake Erie in the South and Lake Ontario to the North. 

The DSBN complies with the Broader Public Sector Directives (BPS) and Building Ontario Businesses Initiative Act (BOBIA) (as directed by the Province of Ontario); and applicable trade agreements such as Ontario-Quebec Trade and Cooperation Agreement (OQTCA), Comprehensive Economic & Trade Agreement (CETA) and Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA).

The DSBN will consider the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) requirements when developing competitive bids and will provide open competitive bidding on the acquisition of all goods, services, and construction where feasible, practical, and cost effective, consistent with the educational goals of the DSBN and fair business principles. Responsible environmental criteria in procurement practices will be incorporated where feasible.

Creating a Supplier Account 

Public bid opportunities are posted on this website and Submissions must be made through the bids&tendersTM Bidding System. 

Bidders must have a current Account and be registered as a Plan Taker for the specific bid opportunity in order to submit their bid electronically.

Bidders may select various commodity codes for goods and services they wish to provide to the DSBN. The Bidding System will then notify a Bidder by email of bid opportunities according to those commodity codes selected. Bidders are solely responsible for ensuring their Bidding System Account information is kept current.
