| Description: |
The District School Board of Niagara (hereafter referred to as the DSBN) hereby invites submissions from General Contractors to pre-qualify to provide bids on the anticipation of three (3) new elementary schools pending Ministry approval. Only the approved pre-qualified General Contractors will be eligible to submit tender packages in accordance with the capital projects. The scope of work for the new schools falls outside the parameters of RFSQ 23121 General Contractors for Various Capital Projects - Category F and therefore cannot be covered under that procurement process. The total approved size for the new schools is expected to be designed within a range of approximately 64,600 to 75,200 square feet. Anticipated timelines for tendering are set for 2026, with an expected opening date of September 2027. Please note that these timelines are subject to change, as they depend on various approval processes that have yet to be finalized. Respondent(s) who have previously been qualified to provide the services described herein, or who are currently performing work for the DSBN must also respond to this request to be considered for future work assignments. Bonding will be required as determined by the specific Scope of Work for each project. In all cases, specific Bonding requirements will be identified in any subsequent Tender Document(s) for the projects identified herein. The projects will utilize Stipulated Sum CCDC2 contracts with standard DSBN supplementary conditions. All work shall be performed according to the standards of the applicable trades and to the complete satisfaction of the DSBN. The bidder is required to verify prior to pricing projects that all specified items will be available in time for installation to ensure orderly and timely progress of the work. The DSBN Facility Representative shall approve the use of any materials other than those specified by the DSBN. The Contractor may present alternatives and options to the DSBN for approval. |
